I've actually missed this spring/summer season of horse showing as my husband and son got burned out on going to horse shows after only one summer...I am determined to learn to drive my own horses to the shows and love this video. TRA!!! I love it!!! :)))) For years & years I have always jumped out at the sale barn, Vet's....wherever and shouted, "I need someone to back this trailer up for me, PLEASE!!!!" And, living in West Texas, there is always some kind individual who is willing to oblige (thank GOD). Great video...i was a little apprehensive at first but you made some great points! Biggest thing for people to remember is to be calm and patient. Most people 90% that have LT trucks with trailers arent pro's. Just do your thang and not worry about what someone else would do!!

If you're backing up using your side mirrors and get confused which direction you need to steer:
If you see the side of the trailer further out in your mirror, then steer into the mirror side.
i.e. You see more of the trailer in your left mirror -- steer toward the left mirror to straighten it out.

Great Video...I was just told the bit about putting my hand at the bottom of the wheel (after I finally backed into place..lol).  I liked your mom's idea of using the visualizing the trailer with the wheel...front/back etc...now I should actually remember what direction to turn.  Knowing that a longer trailer takes longer...etc...that all makes more since now.  Thanks!!

Thanks for the advice! Just bought my first horse trailer yesterday and Mom and I were going through HELL trying to back it up into a space. Finally we threw in the towel and parked it in a desert lot up the street XD. Was gonna have my instructor teach me about trailers but I'll give this a try first.
