What a tremendous actor, even taking on an English accent as Higgins, the caretaker of the Robin Masters' Estate. Most people never knew he was born and raised in, of all places, Texas. His character was very important, bringing the high browed, sophisticated element to the "devil may care" character exquisitely played by Tom Selleck. Rest in Eternal Peace, Mr. Hillerman!

The great John Hillerman. Truly a beautiful man who will live forever in the hearts and minds of those of us who loved him. Magnum premiered when I was 10 years old, and I soon knew it was the greatest television show ever made. It was more than that with me. I watched every week with my dad, who I sadly lost to a heart attack when I was 14. Mr. Hillerman, along with Tom, Roger, and Larry became my adopted family. Learning the values of character, loyalty, and always doing the right thing from them. God bless, and rest in peace sir.

I was 12 years old when Magnum P.I. premiered. It quickly became my favorite show on television. The core group of Magnum, Higgins, T.C. and Rick made that show what it was, and it would not have been the same if any of those characters had not been part of the series. I still laugh every time that I hear T.C. say hey Higgy baby. Every time an actor or actress passes away from a show that I grew up watching it really saddens me deeply. Rest in Peace John Hillerman

Thank you for the memories. Thank you for your help in portraying Vietnam vets in a positive light. But mostly, "Mahalo" for your little show about 4 friends that helped keep my head together in the days after 9/11 when I was desperately searching for several of mine.

I used to watch Magnum PI. Back then it was one of the many good shows on TV. The shows on now are mostly crap. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP Higgins.

I read right after he died in november of 2017 that he was actually born in 1930 not 1923 wonder how they were off by 7 years
