When i went to prom there was an age limit for your date to prevent people who could in theory bring alcohol. (So you cant be 21 orover) the football players told me that they will have dinner at my work since obviously i wont be going since no one asked me. I did end up going but i wish i didn't i was supposed to be going with a friend that lived 2 hours away but she canceled last minute so i had the tickets, dress, hair, makeup everything. My older sister got special permission from the principal and police to go with me (i lived in a mostly crime free school district aka the most wealthy in the area so the "getto" was my neighborhood because we were less wealthy but it was mostly just retired couples in my neighborhood anyway the sherif was always at my school because he needed something to do) my sister however is a narcissist and made everything about her. My current boyfriend is annoyed i didn't ask him its been 2-3 years and he is still annoyed sure i was friends with him but he was WAY over the age limit as he was 36 at the time. I was 18 (i have a fall birthday so i was after the cut off date). Honestly i think it would have been better to skip prom and just hang out with my current boyfriend (friend at the time of my prom)
