I sprained my ankle playing volleyball back in high school when my opponents foot came under the net and landed on my foot at an odd angle. When I got up I tried to put weight on it and couldn't. It was like my ankle was fused into position. I was on crutches for about a week though it was more or a bad limp by day 8 then early on where I couldn't put weight on it at all. Now I didn't have a team of trainers and doctors working on me all week, and I wasn't doing well enough to continue playing like Mahomes did. But I also don't think mine was a high ankle sprain, just what a typical one is. The fact that he wasn't completely incapable of walking for the rest of the game gives me hope, but he's not going to be 100%.

He will be 80-90% by Sunday. 8 days to rest it. He will get injections and pain relievers and have it wrapped up pretty good.
