Thank you for sharing all this brilliant detail! It's great to know your thought process as you move through specific steps to get to your final results. I feel like I've just taken an entire course, rather than a short tutorial. I'm so glad I just stumbled upon your channel, and I look forward to more of your videos. Cheers!

Your tutorial/demonstration was very well done. I really liked how you set up the workflow. Now I need to research how to do that. Thank You.

Thank you for this wonderful PhotoLab 7 demonstration. The pace and detailed explanations of the various tools and the results achieved were just right and very helpful. I will rewatch this again to get as much out of it as I can. I happened to come across this and subscribed to your channel before it was even near the end. Thank you for sharing your expertise and knowledge of DXO PhotoLab. I look forward to seeing more from you.

Just a note on noise reduction the main window only shows the high quality setting. For all deep prime settings a preview is shown in the loupe the actual noise reduction will only be applied when you export the image.

Great video and a nicely paced walkthrough. I've come back to photography recently and am looking for a RAW converter/editor. I don't want anything with a subscription as I'll get limited time to use it. Seeing this may have just made my mind up. Thank you Marcus!

As an enthusiast who loves DxO PhotoLab 7 this is one of the best videos that explains a well structured workflow. My only change is maybe getting the light right before colour - I thought this was the mainstream thought. Otherwise yours is very close to mine. Love the pace and detail. Have you any other DxO videos?

Thanks Marcus - great video tutorial - perfect pace and amount of detail. I've just started using the trial version of DxO PL with a new camera after a very long time away from photography. I've never edited RAW files before and I was a little overwhelmed to be honest. I've watched a few videos and it's starting to make more sense and with your video, I really liked the workflow. Great work!

Wondering how to edit highlights, mid tones, and shadows colours each alone?

Recently moved to Mac, and away from Adobe. Had their All Apps plan. I'm new to PhotoLab. Took advantage of the 20% off special. I like it a lot. I wish it supported DNG files from my Pixel 8 Pro, but I have Affinity Photo, and it can open the DNGs.

I found the video useful, and I hope you'll take time to do more. I think a lot of people leaving Adobe will end up using PhotoLab, and we can use some basic tutorials. Subscribed.

Isn’t there a way to convert the screen to monochrome like in lightroom while choosing the details of sharpening and texture I don’t know what is it called

:) you could see the deep prime effect even though that is only available in that little prewiew window on the right.

I've started using Skylum Luminar Neo for real estated photo editing. Oh my my, too cool! The advanced editing * the AI makes the images look like taken in multi-shoots. No need to take 3-5 pics!! Yet, the masks isn't as effective as Lightroom., nor the color picker.

If deep prime xd is the best why others even exist? They can just add a scale to toggle the percentage you want

No, it’s not… not for me. I hate Adobe, and if Dxo also was a DAM, it would be my choice. Dxo is the best raw processor but Capture One ingested my 32 GB Lightroom catalog and kept all my edits and collections, so years of work didn’t go to waste.

Naw, but nice advertising. I'll take Darktable, thank you, its open source.
