If the Jewish authorities in Christs time had accepted him as the Messiah, Christianity would not exist. Messianic Judaism would be in place of Christianity and traditional Judaism.

Well, the earliest Christians were jewish. The Gentile converts came later during the diaspora and as the lore spread among the pegan slaves that wanted out of the Roman Hell.
