If you have a job or hobby outside, the waterproof notebooks are really useful and popular. The military uses so many and i imagine a lot of scientists find them really useful.

Those notebooks would come in handy as little phone books. Write your five most called/ important numbers in them so if you lose your phone, you have the numbers!!

Waterproof notebooks are usually used for field notes in which case it’s highly likely your notebook will be damp or rained on. I don’t really see many other uses, but it definitely does have some. Maybe journalists in certain niches as well?

I take mini notebooks that attach to bags to cons or social events where I know there will be cool people, and have them write their @ in there so I don't add juggling my phone to everything else in my hands. Usually just keep it and a keychain pen on the strap of a crossbody or tote. It doubles as a neat little unique physical reminder of the really memorable events if you're sentimental af too
