very good video about the tie rod ends but also check your lower control arm bushings he mentioned the ball joints but you also need to check the lower control arm bushings I'm a retired auto mechanic 45 years in the business always be thorough check everything when you are doing a job take the time to check everything thoroughly before doing a job and for the people that are not very experienced in Auto Repair some things that may help you do not get in too much of a hurry take a little bit of time relax look the vehicle over thoroughly then take some time and take the vehicle part in your mind think about the best way to take it apart take time to see what parts need to be taken off and which parts can be left on this will help you a lot of people getting too much of a hurry and end up making mistakes or taking a distal parts off the motor that are not necessary to take off to complete a job if you gets frustrated while working on your vehicle take a break for a short amount of time and then go back to working on the vehicle if you are upset you cannot think logically if a park does not want to come off or if the part you are replacing does not want to go on take a moment I think about it there's always a reason why a part does not want to go on a vehicle or go back on the vehicle I hope my ideas and theories will help people out there when they're working on their vehicle may God bless everyone and have a wonderful day

You can also take a pair of large channel locks and just squeeze the tie rod/ball joint to check for play.

The boot of my right CV joint was torn, I changed it and added new grease but it cluncks when I do full left side turns. Need to change the CV joint or it can still go on?

very nice video. I hope for comprehensive video to checking both steering components and the suspension components of the car front. You know these 2 systems have great amount of co-relation and issues that touch the 2 systems

2 👍🏽👍🏽 up!! I took my truck in to 3 mechanics & told them it really feels like my tie rods are bad bc I had a car in college that did the same thing only not as bad (of course I called my dad & told me the culprit). Finally found sum1 to look at it that gave me a whole list of things to hv fixed that was 1.5hrs away from me when I was out of town. I drove back safely, took it in to be fixed. OMG- basically a new front end $1350 & they didn’t fix my tie rods (bc they claimed I didn’t need it), my alignment didn’t line up properly & after everything… my truck STILL had the same problem! Super pist!! I’d bought new tires & my front right tire has wear & it still feels like it’s going to “roll off” & makes a clunking noise when I get off the interstate. I told my sons— we’ll fix it ourselves!! UUGGHH! BIG THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!

Very informative vedio. But, they need to replace the drive Alex shaft. The boot on the drive Axel should not be broken like it was . By having a bad boot on the drive Axel. Can cause the bearings and Axel to fail

The boot on that axle looks bad too. Time to replace axle if it’s been opened like that for long?

Would this make it feel like your tie is wobbling and feel your car shake a lot while driving?
