President Biden is cracking down on hidden “junk fees,” extra costs that are often tacked on at the end of concert tickets, fights, hotels, and credit cards. NBC News co-Chief White House Correspondent Peter Alexander joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss how the Biden Administration is going after these fees, and parlaying this action into “some good politics.” Alexander says “junk fees” impact Americans across the country: “It affects Americans all over the place. Can add up to hundreds of dollars a year for Americans, the White House says.”

how about all those fees you get from your electric company or internet provider or your cell phone company, heck my electric company has 20 to 30 charges a moth, and it varies every month which another 50 to 70 dollars a month to my bill, and they also keep opting me in to things I don't want or can't afford and if I opt out, a couple of months later they opt me back in without informing me first I also get charged tax on taxes already paid

How about those bizarre fees utility companies charge you, especially water and sewer? In Portland the water company decided to give a lot of money to the Audubon Society, then tacked that money onto our water bills. How is that right? Only a third of my water and sewer bill is actually for water and sewer, most of it is for sundries like that "charitable donation" that none of the customers chose to make.
