Here’s why saying “but you don’t look disabled” is a microaggression. Remember that there is no “look” for disability.

Disability doesn’t have a look and the majority of disabilities are not apparent. It invalidates and diminishes our experience because it suggests that we should look radically different from non-disabled people. And it perpetuate statement that we need to hide our disabilities in order to be treated differently.”
