I'm starting to think that the "cheaters" are trying to restore the world to vanilla Minecraft because you'd obviously need a mod to make infinite water sources cause the logs to be replaced with sand and such.

They could have placed the boat before whatever happened here, and the rotten flesh could have been a zombie that was killed recently there.
