Imran Khan Winning the toss and batting first, Aamir Sohail and Ramiz Raja had a flying start. Pakistan were cruising to a big total. At one stage they were 157 for two, but they could manage only 220. It wasn’t a poor total at Perth, which is a fast bowler’s paradise, and Pakistan had some really good ones.
Wasim Akram got his rhythm back. Aqib Javed was back in form and the Aussie batsmen could not understand the googlies of Mushtaq Ahmed. Pakistan won the match by 48 runs, The bowlers combined well and pulled off a memorable win.
