Fontaine OST Piano Arrangement - Exploration Themes (Part 1)

Показать описание
My arrangements of some of my favorite exploration themes from the Fontaine region in Genshin Impact.
Timestamps:
0:00 Clement Rillet
1:25 Across the Meadows
3:01 Peripatetic Peregrination
Clement Rillet is difficult to play well. Even though the notes are simple, it must sound effortless. Much of my practice was focused on playing the left hand arpeggios evenly and cleanly, especially across the several tricky jumps. Normally, these could be made easier by taking a bit extra time, but for this piece a brisk tempo with a judicious use of rubato is needed to keep the piece flowing.
The main area for improvement is in the phrasing of the melody, especially in the second half. At 1:02, the bottom note is too loud, and the subsequent phrase at 1:05 is monotonous.
I'm very happy with Across the Meadows, even if it's much easier. Again, it's important to keep the melody flowing, but there's more opportunity for interpretation. For example, I brought out several shifts in tone (1:55, 2:02, 2:34) ever so slightly to highlight the dissonance and the subsequent resolution. In the second half, the secondary higher voice (2:15, 2:27) can also be played quite freely as long as the main melody isn't interrupted.
Not much to say about Peripatetic Peregrination since it's just a 1-1 transcription. There's a few places where my articulation could be cleaned up or doesn't match, but oh well.
Thanks for watching!
