Good points. Today's version of "tithing" has no biblical precedent. We're free to give, not bound to pay.

Malachi 3 does not apply to any church or Christians, it was addressed to the priests who were robbing from God by giving blemish offerings and not the best and keeping the best for themselves, and tithing was never about money, tithing today is false doctrine.

Also malachi was specifically addressing the priests of Israel for robbing God

We give out of the abundance of our hearts. Tithing in the Bible shows that when we honor God with our giving, he will provide for us and bring blessings upon us. However, we are not under the law of tithing. This command was for the Levites. We are under a new covenant through Jesus Christ which commands us to give out of love. Jesus said the greatest commandment is love. Through love, we give to the poor and to help build God’s kingdom. If you are able to give a tenth of your income and feel good about it, then do it to honor God. If you don’t feel comfortable giving a tenth, Paul said give what you’re able to give. The important thing is to do everything in love.

According to 2 Cor 8:7-8 Christians are supposed to excel in giving but how can Christians excel in giving if they give less than the minimum of the Jews? According to 2 Cor 8:8 our giving proves the sincerity of our love so how can we prove our love is sincere if we are more stingy than the Jew who gave a minimum of %10?
