"They don't like the hyperness and loudness that kids usually tend to do."

Kinda ironic thing for them to dislike. Or do they just not like the competition?

Fennec foxes truly are precious creatures. You need to qualify to care for one. Which is hard. But I can also see its very rewarding. They are loving creatures in their own way. They're not dogs. They take a lot of care, financial stability, patience, understanding, and love above all else.

"They don't like hyperness" hyperness=competition

That sounded brutally honest and very well said. They are adorable little critters to watch on YouTube...but...they belong in the wild.

Yeah! I can imagine the difficulty of petting a fox, and keeping one, because during my teenage years, I did not like being touched or petted!

OK, so everything that I thought made them a good pet, you just told me they do not do!!! Can't be litter trained, rip up furniture, active at night... wtf. U just spoiled my dream.

They can hear prey underground. Therefore, you are essentially yelling in its ear.

If they are like normal red foxes, then I believe their urine also smells like skunk spray. That's not coming out of anything easily.

Foxes are my favorite animals, but I must say I'd prefer to associate with a wild one or simply watch them online than adopt one myself 😅

Heck, when it comes to any animal, pet or not, do your homework. I recently got 2 kittens that look like bob tailed Siamese, despite their Mom being jet black and their siblings being a calico and a gray tabby. Apparently Siamese is the result of a weird form of albinism that makes warmer spots of the cats white and colder spots away from the chest darker. Hence how my kittens look Siamese but are not Siamese and I should probably be on the lookout for typical diseases for Siamese cats, such as eye and sinus problems.
Also it’s just smart to have some idea what to do if you come across a wild animal or a stray that’s trying to act aggressive or whatever. Like with a dog, you should probably stand your ground and keep your eyes on them, since running can trigger hunting instincts and not watching them could get you into more trouble. My mom’s dog is a former stray and can act aggressive.
As for the little kids thing, I feel that’s to be expected. A fennec fox is a tiny animal and is probably sometimes preyed on by big birds, so a human child probably seems like a potential predator. With how big fennec foxes ears are, I imagine even quiet humans can be super loud to them.

Always thought foxes were like a cat and dog combined.
This looks more like a dog version of a cat.

They should crossbreed Fennec Foxes with perhaps a Terrier or a Chihuahua, in an attempt to 'domesticate' them...

They "can" be potty trained, but "can never be fully" potty trained. Ummm, so basically they cant be potty trained!
