I feel like people don't understand how unbelievably powerful Thanos is, especially, as it states, with the infinity stones. Because the gauntlet is ABSOLUTELY BUSTED. Yes, I'm talking MCU Thanos.

Example: look at how much it took to even give Thanos a single scratch for ONE drop of blood, even then he only had 4 of the 6 stones. They dropped a meteor on him and it did absolutely nothing but make him mad, not to mention he then proceeds to turn the meteor against them using the reality stone. Even without using a stone, he wrecks the Hulk with only a few punches and kills a literal god by snapping his neck. He also manages to hold the power stone for a few moments with no lasting ill effects.

A lot of people are bringing up genjutsu, but I remind you that Mantis basically put him into one AND IT STILL TOOK LIKE 4 VERY POWERFUL DUDES TO HOLD HIM DOWN WHILE MANTIS WAS FIGHTING HIS WILL WITH EVERYTHING SHE HAD. Even then, he now has the mind stone which protects him from such influences. Also Thanos can basically do a genjutsu, except it's not an illusion because of the reality stone.

But let's take a look at the individual stones that would only take one to make someone a villain worthy of their own arc.

Power stone. Infinite, bottomless, raw, unchecked power. A single tap can destroy a planet and it amplifies all other stones.

Space stone. Control over physicals and space. Controls the properties of matter and position in the universe.

Reality stone. Overrides reality to the will of the user. Nothing is impossible.

Soul stone. Sentient and immensely wise. Is able to discern the true position of anything and control the soul.

Time stone. Grants the user control over the flow of time as well as any branches. Can also create unbreakable time loops.

Mind stone. Infinite knowledge. Can control minds and hearts.

Even then I'm grossly understating how powerful these little rocks are, especially since Thanos KNOWS how to use them and Madara is only one person. His snap killed half of all life in the universe. Not planet, not, galaxy, UNIVERSE. Thanos is absolutely busted, though he could still loose.

TL;DR Thanos would med diff Madara and 616 Thanos would no diff him.
