Btw you can modify it for higher current/output, the the LED driver is a QX5241, rated max 2.5A, on my board is has 2x SMD resistors R390 in parallel, the formula is 0.2V / (0.39/2) = 1A, I swapped the resistors for R270 for 1.5A (measured 1.4A) 400 lumens output, they are 1206 sized, anything higher and you'll need to go bigger to allow for more dissipation, eg 1210 (may still fit) or 1W through hole (you can probably solder the resistor/shunt on the back of the board between the capacitor + and the LED +, the other potentional problem is the tiny mosfet, it was running at 60C at 1.4A, not sure how much more headroom I'll have, may need to be replaced with a beefier one. LED heatsink was just warm, 40C iirc.
I also swapped the LED emitter for an Luminus SST20 3500k CRI 95, the light output is so much nicer now, battery consumption measured 320mA/90mA on high and low, so 6h/22h runtime out of a 2Ah battery.
The LED emitters sees 1.4A/300mA, the low setting is much more useable now.
I'll order more resistors and see if I can push it to 2A/500 lumens.

I measured the LED current, on high it supplies 1A, low is 220mA, so with white LED chips usually in the 3Vf range, 3W is correct, battery wise, on high it pulls 200mA, so an 2Ah will last 10 hours.
LED driver is maybe 80% efficient, so it's drawing a bit more (3.6-3.8W).
There's an new lantern model PCL662B, 850 lumens/8W vs 330lm/3W, USB port can provide 2A, using the same math, the new lantern would last about 3.5h with an 2Ah

Hello there I have this light. I don't think it's bad but I much prefer the ryobi project light. It's 900 lumens and it's only $40. The area light is good for small jobs but for my bigger projects I find the project light is the best bang for your buck. It really is an excellent product.

864 views on a 6 second short, I think you should do more of them filming quick reviews of what's good and bad about the product and then at the end say that if you want a more in depth review check out the video linked at the end
