Enhanced voice search on the Google app

I am reffering to how long it will take with traffic. Along with that, it knows when you are near cool photo places, knows when you are out of town and tells you about restaurants and attractions, etc. Its absolutely amazing how smart it is

I've used this app on the iPhone and it is as fast as seen in this video. It's very impressive how fast it is. Even if the video was edited to make it look faster, it is just by a fraction of a second.

This is so cool. I now have it for my iphone! Now, I am eagerly awaiting Google Maps app for the iphone! I'm waiting for it with big arms, Google!!!

It does work with Calendar events. If you say something like, "Create calendar event, January third, seven-thirty pm, going to the movies" it works really well.

I'm surprised by the speed of Google voice search!! Its blazingly fast compared to Siri.
I don't ever use voice search or Siri but still impressed by the speed.

I'm still using Google Maps, on iOS 5, with my iPhone 4S and I'm loving every minute of it...

Must give credit to Google. Helping the enemy. First with the maps and now with the far superior voice assistant. I personally would of never helped them. Android is king! Kudos, Google!

I believe that as far as I have gotten into reading and "playing" your pieces for everyone to test, I am excited.This is wonderful all the way around coming from a consumer. Pretty decent! I found myself having to repeat questions, but the data repeated back is spot on. It wasn't working at first for complex questions but came around. Pitting Siri against for the square root of PI....Siri gave me "would you like to search the web for PI." Google gave the actual answer and a calculator! Google FTW

Google is smart. First thing iOS users are going to do is compare it to Siri. I just asked siri for the directions to six flags, she gave me directions to midtown manhatten. I asked this app for the same thing and got correct directions. I did the same thing for a translation, this app gave me the right response, siri wanted me to search the web.

iPhone was featured in this ad because of the point-of-view of the ad itself. As the title itself suggest that google voice synthesis is much better than Siri.

Wow I just asked both my iPad and my Nexus 7 the same question and the iPad answered both much faster and with a heck of a lot more information

Its a feature of the search engine itself. Just like the ability to search for pictures by dragging and dropping an image. Its been available on desktop machines for over a year. Plug a mic to your computer and go to google using any browser that supports html5 you see the little mic icon in the search field. This new feature just unlock that ability via mobile.

Thanks! I didn't notice that menu item was expandable and I thought it doesn't work on iPod. Much obliged :)
