Solid videos, no fluff, just what you need to know. A few humble comments...

- there are four clips on the air filter cover, not three, but if you own a 4R and do your own maintenance, then you probably know that.

- Be very cautious with the two lower nuts on the air injection tube. They are prone to rust, especially on the driver's side. And once they are rusted it won't take much to snap the stud off. So if they do come off, some high temp anti-seize should be wiped onto the stud during reassembly.

If they won't come off then you can try penetrating oil, and pray, but they will likely snap.

FWIW I wouldn't recommend heat as you have a whole bunch of hoses nearby.

So if you do snap the stud, then you can get in there with a Dremel and cut/grind the stud flush and them drill out the stud and replace it with a bolt and nut.

It's cramped and you'll need to order a drill chuck with a hex on the other end. So you can extend the drill to get down in there.

Becareful, take your time and you will save yourself $1k for the dealer repair (they will want to replace the whole exhaust manifold).

Love this! Dealer wants $864.61 to change spark plugs. I plan on doing it myself and using your video as a guide. Thank you! Love that you outlined tools needed and gave tech specs on plugs and gap. Cheers!

The combination of your lighting, angles, and explanations gives me confidence to do these jobs. A few times I've brought up your videos for reference when I was under my 4Runner...lol

I was shocked at how easy those plugs came out. Turns out, anti-seize on plugs isn't a thing anymore. It actually causes an over torque situation. That information alone gives me confidence in changing the plugs diy. Great video!

FYI, you don't have to remove the entire injection pump tube (6:48). Just remove the connection at the pump. It has a flex tube for a reason. You can leave the lower flange connected and just pull it aside. This saves a lot of hassle when you go to the change the driver side plugs. Your video is excellent info. I appreciate your attention to detail.

Thank you for all of the informative, step by step videos! I just completed changing my plugs, air filter, and cleaned my mass air flow sensor and throttle body in my 2014 Limited. I’ll install my cabin air filter next. Saving $$$!

Great video. It encouraged me to change my sparkplugs in my 2015 4Runner. I added the cleaning of the Throttle Body and the Sensor along with a new air filter. Next I plan on replacing the PCV valve. I'm surprised at the ease of access to these important maintenance items. Thanks.

I used an air nozzle to clean the area around the coil pack before removing them so no debris accidentally falls into the cylinder . I had tiny road gravel around a couple . I also take photos of everything before taking things apart

130k miles on 2016 runner, did the passenger side first. I only disconnected the breather assembly at the intake and removed one bolt so I could slightly move it and slide a long extension to remove the plugs. Popped one hose off the "air pump" and took the 3 nuts holding it on plus unplugged electric connector. The metal tube with the metal gasket, I only took it apart at the "air pump" or whatever that is. The gasket had metal retainers holding it in place, I dont like popping bolts loose near the exhaust in fear of snapping one. My old plugs were shockingly clean, they gapped at .040. I saved them so I could look at them later under a magnifying glass.

Pro tip, i just did mine and found this video after finishing. You can actually move the egr assembly out of the way without disconnecting anything from it aside from the metal tube connecting to it (without disconnecting it from the exhause manifold). This will save u time as it applies to both sides.

Thanks for the video. But my left site short exhaust pipe’s front stud seized up and broke. Not sure what to do yet. Tried a few things nothing is working. 😂

Great presentation and the production quality is excellent. It's incredibly valuable to have resources like this available. Are you aware of any torque specs for all the 10 and 12mm bolts and nuts?

When he did the first part, I thought, "Ha ha ha. No way is that worth $300. I could drop something or forget to put something back."

Then... HE WASN'T EVEN FINISHED?

They can have my $300 for the peace of mind.

I had your video up on the screen as i performed this procedure. One question. Is the coil pack supposed to “click” into place onto the spark plug? If so, how? You can only bottom the coil pack out up at the top where you bolt it in place. But i didn’t feel a click. Thanks! Great vid btw.

Just did it, and technically you can do it with out removing the intake, if you just undo the passenger air pump, and the driver airpump and bracket you can get it...its just less space.
