Seems Islam isn’t really popular among intellectuals 🤔

Islam can be refuted without Aristotle but this is an added bonus 👍🏻

If Muslims used reason, they would not believe Muhammad

Imagine thinking a glorified warlord who married a child and eventually got silenced by poison is actually a prophet of the one true god

When muslims realized that the greeks rejected their way of thinking, it might have been a reason (one of many) for muslims back then eventually rejected greek philosophy.

Very interesting. This reminds me that the Atheists use the argument that you don't need God to be good, but St Thomas explains that away as well using the same logic.

One of the biggest flaws I find between Islam's teachings and its followers is how they continuously say that the Christian bible--an earlier revelation of Allah, according the the Qu'ran--is corrupted. Never mind the fact that the Qu'ran specifically teaches that not only can Allah's words NOT be corrupted, but there's punishment in the afterlife awaiting those who even try.

In my opinion, disgusts prove morality.
Rape, murder, theft, will often place the disgust feeling in most humans. Therefore objective morality. Especially personal experience disgust. Therefore objective morality exists. For while the mentally unstable may not be disgusted to enter these sins, the basic human response to adultery, prostitution, murder, or other acts of honorless behavior will wrench the stomach and hurt the heart. Therefore no one is without excuse to objective morality.

For context, child marriage was a thing in Islam up untill the early modern days, but it was forbidden by law in ancient Greece since over 2300 years ago 😂

The ancient greek philosophers were geniuses. They had incredibly advanced beliefs for their times.

Particularly Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, who even today shock us with their based takes.

While Socrates and Plato were imagining ideals and perfection with limited empirical knowledge about the natural world, Aristotle was studying everything—from ecosystems and biology to ethics and morality.

More than that, Aristotle ascertained and stated by implication that reason is
itself a matter of faith! It is an act of faith to recognise and accept that which
is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!

Could you maybe post some Islamic sources where it says morality is known through revelation alone?

Everything that follows its natural and coherent orders based on a logical premise are those sticking to reality. The only thing consistent in the universe is reality, which is true, and in consequence the Truth, therefore God's most definitive manifestation. No wonder why somebody once said "The Truth will set you free"

The biggest question is then what the natural state of a thing is. What is the natural state of a human ?

Is a psychopath in his natural state and therefore, moral ?
