The challenge I have at the moment is I’m experiencing a type of tinnitus. I have the usual or classic tinnitus which I’ve habituated to. This took some inner work! I now have a version of it where it’s a low frequency hum or droning vibration, which sounds like it’s external to me - this is discombobulating.

So… I bring mindfulness to it each night as best I can. I focus on my breath and see those thoughts coming in and anxiety building “I can’t deal with this forever”.

“I can’t relax and fall into sleep with a vibration going all the time.”

If I’m not my thoughts or emotional reactions - I’m in no-man’s land right now where I can accept that and in some cases experience the peaceful awareness behind it.. but it takes a lot of inner strength and persistence to stay centered and breathe.
