In this webinar we will explore the issues that can make teachers cautious about integrating digital tools into their teaching practice. We will discuss a particular model of learning – the Growth Zone model – as a framework for understanding varying reactions to change and challenge. The webinar will suggest a set of strategies for moving teachers out of their ‘Comfort Zone’ to a place where they can expand their range of skills in the classroom. We will also look at what online help is available for more technophobic or techno-sceptic teachers. For teachers who are mainly comfortable with technology but are contemplating undertaking something new with their students, the webinar will propose a strategy to ensure that any ‘risky’ venture turns into a greater level of skill and personal development. We will end the webinar by discussing how teachers can share their journeys and reduce the element of anxiety and risk for their colleagues.
