Men and women are not just hormonally different, we are mechanically different. Among other things, our shoulders, hips, and ankles are significantly different. A woman's body is optimized for child-bearing while a man's body is optimized for weight-bearing, running, and throwing. Taking female hormones doesn't change that.

I've ALWAYS LOVED JP! He can sure make a point!
To your point about people who "Identify as women", but continue to physically present with male genitalia, not belonging in anything that is designated as being reserved for what has been, for years, referred to as "the weaker sex". When I use this term, I don't believe there is one person reading who doesn't KNOW that the term refers to women. We are physically built weaker than men. Our bones are not as big, thick, heavy, or sturdy as a biological man's bones. The muscles, ligaments and tendons that are required to support and move those bones - that physical framework that the body is built on - are inherently bigger, thicker, and stronger than those that a biological female's body requires and/or produces. So I don't believe that a biological male who takes estrogen for any length of time could ever be qualified to compete in women's competitions - that framework and supporting connective tissue is already there. People talk about giving kids hormone blockers, but most women who have given birth to male children can recognize the changes that testosterone brought about (i.e. chin hairs!). Science KNOWS that there can be affects on the mother when she carries that little ball of testosterone. So the gender is already biologically expressed in the womb. I haven't met a child yet who hasn't expressed at around ages 2-3, and about 5 -6, that they are the opposite gender. There is a natural curiosity there. I've NEVER seen a kid go through that and continue it. But parents today have kids hit those stages and start dressing them as the opposite gender and take them to get hormone blockers, and FORCE the kid to REMAIN in what should have been a TRANSItional STAGE of their life! They're DESTROYING their children. Most people find - after gender reassignment surgery - that they aren't any happier than they were before the surgery - and most find themselves to be more miserable than before. Psychologically, the gender change doesn't help, after the initial excitement wears off.
So, I figure if you're born with a bat and balls, you need to go play ball with the boys, and let the girls play with other girls when it comes time for competitive sports that are a measure of strength and endurance. Women will ALWAYS be at a disadvantage against someone whose body has been infused with testosterone from the womb.
But, that's just MY opinion, based on my observations after 34 years as a Physicians Assistant, having raised 6 children, gave birth to 3, I have 16 grandkids, and have fostered many kids over the years. Everyone Is entitled to their own opinion, this is just what I've seen in my 64 years.

The age thing already happened. A guy in one of the Nordic country's was like 65 years old but identified as something like 22 and even went to court to try and be able to change his ID. He lost the case.

There is a man in the Uk who wishes to identify as a six year old girl, dresses the part and has acutually got a couple to ADOPT him, God only knows what the dynamic is there!!!! The serious thing about this is that it give weirdos and peadophiles a way to access women and children, and while I am truly sorry for those with body dysmorphia as with any mental problem, the danger to kids has to be acknowledged.
