Icelandair has been a proud supporter of Iceland’s national football team since its inception more than 70 years ago. After seven decades of waiting, we couldn’t be more excited to wish them well during their first major tournament. From the seaside towns to the capital city, and from all around the world, we present this video as just one of your many loyal fans.

I'm Brazilian and for some reason this made me cry. I know it's a commercial, but for me it goes deeper than that. For the brief time of the video i felt like i was part of the Iceland family and it was a beatiful moment. I will surely be cheering for Iceland!

0:46-0:59 Half-Estonian Atli Eðvaldsson and his teammates cross Soviet border... 1987. Between 1986 and 1989, Iceland got three 1-1 draws in four matches against the mighty USSR.
0:59-1:05 Iceland suffers it´s heaviest defeat at home, 0-6 against East Germany... 1987.
1:06 Iceland-Germany qualifier, 2003. 0-0. I was there.

If it was not against us, I would have loved to see you Iceland at the next level, whatever was the final score, your team was good in all sides of the field in all games I saw : I mean attack as defense. And your supporters were amazing, I saw that we followed their good feelings with hands clapping, we copied but with much respect from France.
