I know this movie was not well-received by many Star Wars fans but hey you cannot deny that it was an exciting time and fun time that you could at least say that you're thankful that you got to experience maybe thanks to this movie.

I'll never forget how hyped up this movie was and I'll always enjoy the time I had waiting for it and when it came out going out to buy the toys and stuff good times

There's something about the intro when the screen hits "Star Wars" with the music that just sells it. Being a fan of Star Wars forever, the music right from the start just conveys all the emotion of what Star Wars is all about, risk, fear, aspiration, standing on the edge striving for more, facing your demons, etc., everything. The score for Star Wars is just incredible.

When I went to see The Rise of Skywalker, the whole audience was just dead, and I was sorely disappointed...I really wish I could have been around to be in an atmosphere like this; THESE are my kind of people! lol

I remember going to the midnight premiere. Before the movie started a couple guys dressed as jedi were hanging out towards the front. Vader slowly walked in towards them and the theater went absolutely ape shit. Such good vibes.

I'm old enough to have seen all of them in the theater. Even in 1977 for ANH. I was 6.
I was also in a crowd at a theater in Charlotte for the midnight showing of Phantom Menace and the crowd was just like this. Lightsaber duals down front and all. Lol. I dressed as Darth Maul. Even shaved my head...made the horns myself and went full makeup! Lol 😆

As a non-American, I have a deep sense of appreciation and awe at the "camp-out" culture in the US, whether it's for video games, movies, phones, etc. Just genuine, unadulterated excitement and joy.

Words cannot convey how magnificent it was be alive and be young in the 90's

I experienced something like this when I went to go see the Force Awakens years ago. I will never forget just the hype I had going into the theatre, sitting down, waiting to experience the next All new chapter of the Skywalker Saga. It was mind blowing to me. Seeing the opening crawl, a new one, with the John Williams blaring on the speakers, in an entire theatre filled with eyes fresher than the last, was absolutely mind blowing to me. As a fan of movies and as a fan of Star Wars. It was just beautiful. Movie was great too :)

Y'know, it doesn't matter if the movie was good or bad. It brought like-minded people together...for one night, we were all a family. That's what fandom is all about: unity.

I’m so glad I was a kid for this phenomenon. This movie was the biggest thing to a ten year old.
