preview_player
Показать описание
Native American Style Flutes tuned to 440 and 432 Htz played side by side to be able to hear the frequency difference in the Key of D.
Every key will have the same difference in pitch from 440 to 432.

I have ptsd and my nervous system devoted super sensitive to light and sound. The 432hz has a mellowness to it. Kind of rounds off the edges of the sound. 432hz actually helps me a lot. Not just with this instrument, but in all music. I even have a Playlist of rock songs in 432hz. I'm not sure if other people can notice, but for me being super sensitive, I notice a big difference.

I have had several flutes in my life, but none gave me as much emotion as my Low D 432 hertz flute.
To be honest, it’s a fantastic experience : I can close my eyes, and be transported to a near state before sleeping, as if I were between two mental states.
I specify that no 440hz flute gives me this feeling (and I'm not a pro).

From my point of view:
440hz flute sounds great for you and those who hear you.
432hz flute sounds great for you and those who hear you WHILE you have a personal experience.

The only negative point is : I can't find 432hz backing tracks :p
I hope my comment can help people.
(Sorry for my english, i use google translate because my english is bad)

You should have compared 432 vs 440 using the same wood for the flutes. The type of wood makes a lot of difference in the tonality of the flute

I love both, but 432hz has a richer, more full or resonant sound. I have 2 "A" flutes, one is 440 and the other is 432, both made of cedar. They both sound beautiful, but the 432 also has that richer sound. It's really hard to describe, but you can hear it.

I check your site often, D is my favorite key. My hold up thus far from making the purchase is, wood choice. In this comparison I prefer the maple at 432, historically I have preferred 440. So I am wondering, is it the difference in wood tone I like here, or frequency? The mango is more visually attractive to me. Would the mango sound as the maple did if it were in 432?

Thank you very much for this video.

Its just a few notches on the scale. The scale system made by humans in order to communicate frequencies. That system couldve started anywhere and is in that sense arbitrary, the 0 was chosen somewhere.

What I am saying is I dont believe it matters at all, its just a slightly different sound because it is a slightly different frequency but all the equidistances are the same. So what you hear here is a slightlty different height, a different flute with different wood and timbre/tonal colour, and a person who does not or can not (reasonably) play exactly identical.

Its like liking the key of C better than C# (but with only 8hz difference instead of a note)

Extra static in the 440hz you can hear it towards the end of each breath or pitch or whatever you call it

I'm curious if you know if they used some sort of reference to tune a flute or did they just make the holes and go with whatever it produced? How did they know how far apart to put the holes?

How much is the cost of a small, simple flute with a nearly equal sound?

@elementalflutes I'm about to pick out my first pan flute. It's made of bamboo with 21 pipes in C key. How do I choose between 440 hz and 432 hz?

Also is C or G key preferable?
Would love to play mostly songs that Leo Rojas plays.

It would have been much more interesting if you would have made this video without telling which flute is which frequency.
And posted a second video later telling the frequency.
Because most people just want to like the 432Hz more. That 's called PLACEBO.
And of course use two identical wood flutes!

Is it really true that older instruments say pre 20th century where tuned to 432hz?
