You're most welcome for the heads up Huddison!
Just an FYI... The Charlie rudder pedals aren't available for pre-order until July 15th. Just in case anyone is interested in them. 😎

Also: part way through this video, I mentioned that the T-Flight Rudders were compatible with the Velocity One - I did indeed mean the 'Hotas One'!

You’ll never look back once you’ve used the Bravo, I’ve had Logitech (cheap and cheerful), TB VF1 (poor execution and build quality), really enjoy the Bravo and Alpha combination

Already have the Turtle Beach VelocityOne and happy with it. While I'd love to try the Honeycomb, it's priced well out of my league. Especially if you include the Bravo.

Looking at this from the perspective of an XBox player (who already has a Velocity One, a Hotas One, and various other non flight related peripherals for the XBox)...

Comparing the price for TB solution for XBox with the Velocity One needs to take into consideration that the V1 includes a throttle quadrant.

As there are no details re price / availability for a pedal solution with the V1 (they have said it they "are working on it") then any pricing comparison at the moment should be based on the XPC Alpha + the Bravo + the xbox hub... which comes to ~$670... nearly double the price of the V1 - and ~35% more than the price for the xbox series X!

If you add the price of the Charlie pedals... that takes it over $1, 000 (and probably more in £ for us folks in Blighty..)

I feel that at these prices the appeal for XBox players is going to be extremely limited - and probably would be restricted to those who already play on both xbox and PC (which other than certain youtubers 😜 is probably not a lot of people)

In addition to that, the Velocity One has got there first... and most XBox players who would be prepared to drop $100s on peripherals, will already have a V1...

This feels like it is priced to fail (as far as xbox compatibility is concerned)

If HoneyComb had come out with a solution which allowed pedals (whether their pedals, or even better other pedals) to be connected to xbox... then I believe there would be significant interest... but with that dependance on the Alpha XPC ... just think that's going to rule it out for the vast majority of XBox players.

It's also concerning to hear a number of comments on other channels regarding poor support from Honeycomb for existing customers - I have to say that the direct community engagement and support which turtle beach are currently providing feels outstanding - and well beyond what I've seen from other peripheral manufacturers.

All in all, while I'm all for choice as far as peripheral support on XBox is concerned, and from what I understand the existing Honeycomb products may be excellent and a band above the Velocity One, I struggle to see who this would appeal to with these prices.... too expensive... and too late to market...

If you are considering spending $1, 000+ on peripherals... then you have to be fairly committed to flight Simulation... and the benefits of putting that money towards building a gaming PC would surely outweigh those of adding this to Xbox (especially if you already have the V1, which I believe due to it' availability would likely be the case for most for whom this would be a serious consideration)

And @Huddison - even if you come back after getting all the Honeycomb setup and tell me that I have to go out and buy it because it's much better than the V1.... I'm not listening... seriously... Putting my fingers in my ears in advance 😜LAH LAH LAH 😜

The throttle system looks better and more functionality than the turtle beach I wish I'd have waited lol

So to get a comparable setup to the VF1 you have to fork out much more cash and it still isn’t available after 1 year of FS XBox.
Not really competitive.

Any idea what’s happened to the Sigma Tau Flight Stick and Throttle. Also do you think they will need a hub?

I’m concerned that Honeycomb won’t be offering an app for updating firmware. This thing needs to work on consoles with zero assistance from other hardware.
