Thabks for the video. I think I was doing it wrong as I was putting rigid part(where shows air flow direction) of filter on sideway. Which made really tight to put filter in. I was doing that because whatever filter I get for Honda odyssey 2019 seems bit short for side (makes some gap and longer for back and front which makes hard to put back cover.)

Thanks for making the video. However, there may be one mistake. It may not make a difference, but I believe you should rotate the filter 90° before inserting it into the compartment. In other words, the pleats should go across and the hard side rails should go in. That orientation would match the orientation of the genuine Honda air filter even when using a generic filter. If you look at the compartment, there are slits for the side rails.

The confusion comes from the fact that the genuine Honda air filter has the airflow arrow on the soft, non-rail sides whereas the generic filters (I've seen three varieties) have the arrow on the hard, rail sides.
