If anyone was stuck like me, the tip from the comments that helped me the most is that you can throw the duck at the missile frog. That instantly got me further in the level. Throwing the duck during the muck/firebar section also helped me.

I know this is supposed to be a challenge level, but my god this is just frustrating and not fun. If they would add checkpoints at the middle or made it a bit slower it would be at least bearable.

EDIT: I just completed the game 100% and have to say that this level is BY FAR the most frustrating one. Even the very last challenge level was a breeze compared to this one. I’m glad that there isn’t another level like that in the game.

This level is genuinely horrendous. The game itself is a masterpiece, but this level feels like it was designed by a different team. The water physics from the duck are far too random and results in so many cheap deaths. The missile tracking is too good, like they need to nerf that. A blemish on and otherwise immaculate experience.

Anyone who is stuck on this level-

1. Don't worry, this is by far the hardest void level in the game. Might even be harder than [redacted]
2. You can throw the rubber ducky at the lizard that shoots homing missiles as soon as you get off the lava section- making it much easier to pass this section
3. Once you master the beginning section of the level, the latter half is much easier to learn.

They need to slow those flames down at the start of this level. They go faster than your character! Like come on! I was about to rage quit the entire game due to that part... but I did it somehow.

Damn, did they get the guys that did the Mario Sunshine secret levels on this one? This was one of the hardest sections of the game so far!
