S23 can't use an micro SD card but A54 can. I don't understand why I would pay more for less features.

You forgot to mention great stabilisation in 1080p mode. Too much attention is placed on how a phone looks. Nobody stares at the back of their phone, especially when most put a cover on it anyway. An interesting comparison would be the A54 against the A73 same price here in Australia.

I have A54 great phone I wouldn't waste my money on S23 this phone does everything I want it to do.

Of course the S23 is better. That's not the point of the video.
The point is that most of us do not need to spend the extra cash on the S23. The A54 is more than good enough for what we need from a phone.
I have the A54. I got it from Samsung Ireland for 307 euro when I traded in my A52. I got galaxy buds 2 for free and the price included the clear case.

Is it worth it. The short answer is yes. The screen is great, the audio is great. The battery is great, the connectivity is great. The camera is good for what I need and the performance is fine for what I need. I have no complaints at all and highly recommend the A54

My current phone is an S22+. I like it a lot, but if not for battery degradation, I would still be using my S10e. The pricing on phones is ridiculous. My next phone will be a budget choice. I want a good display, but it doesn't have to be great. I don't care about refresh rates. It's my phone, not my laptop. Also, as long as I have a decent camera and video, that's good enough for me because I usually only post to social media. If I need really good pictures, I'll use a real camera. I don't want an extremely slow phone, but since I only occasionally watch videos on my phone and I don't play games, a decent processor is good enough. I want wireless charging if I can get it, but my main concern is battery life first and foremost.

Functionally, the average person isn't going to see a huge difference day to day for simply watching YouTube, sending texts, etc. Even for general photos most folk are going to be more than happy with a cheaper device. Biggest thing I notice with more expensive phones are things like the system haptic feedback and things like the stereo. Also screen quality, though honestly modern Samsung panels are absurdly good.

For the stuttering problem, just disable the scale animations in developper mode...

For me, it's all about you get what you pay. Yes, there's improvements in A54, or should I say the whole A series. But all in all, it's still a low end to midrange line up so I wouldn't expect it to provide the same user experience as the S series does. I'm currently using an A73 since I'm still a student and doesn't have a stable income, but for sure, I'll be getting the S series in the future, especially the vanilla model.

I'm so glad that I went with A54 5G and I got a pretty good deal with it. I got a 25W Samsung wall adapter and a Samsung branded clear hard case but on a separate package. The last time I actually went with an A series phone was with Galaxy A9 back in 2018 and after that I went with Galaxy Note10+ and Note20 Ultra 5G until the Note20 Ultra 5G has broken down completely just a few weeks ago and that's when I decided to get a Galaxy A54 5G rather than getting the Blacked-Out Screen of my Note20 Ultra repaired for $450 on a local authorised Samsung Service Centre and since getting a new Galaxy A54 5G will just cost me $500 (128/8GB) I decided to go for it since that would also mean a guaranteed 4-major Android OS Updates compare to keeping the Note20 Ultra 5G and getting it repaired cuz that one will surely not get anymore major updates compare to A54 5G.
It was indeed a good deal and a steal since they gave me a FREE 25W charger worth $30 and a clear case worth $10 if I bought it separately on Samsung. And since I had a charger set back on Note20 Ultra I decided to reuse it and keep the free adapter and buy myself a tempered glass and clear jelly case cuz I didn't really like the hard case that might cause some damage on the plastic side railings of the phone. And so far this has been the first time for a long time that an a series phone really #Amazed and #Astounded me after Galaxy A9. #AisForAwesome #AisForAmazing #SamsungGalaxyA545GisForMe!

Just that processor alone makes it worth paying a bit more for the 'S' model. For a start nobody pays full price for one(they do the best trade in prices), and also if that chip is lagging and stuttering straight out of the box, what's it going to be like in a year or two. In my opinion the more expensive phone is far better value over time

My A54 performs like a lightning, had zero issues with it in 2 weeks of using it, gaming is smoot on max setting, battery is great, multitasking no stutter at all..in my contry it cost around 450 euro while S23 128GB cost 700 euro

The phone makers are doing what the digital slr camera makers did 10-15 years ago. To compete they keep adding more and more features that 90% of customers don't use on a regular basis. That is why every Canon and Nikon DSLR camera has a full auto setting! Back in the day film cameras such as the Pentax K1000 only had 3 settings. You could set the film speed on a dial 100 iso 400 iso etc, change the shutter speed, or change the aperture. Then look through the viewfinder & see if the exposure needle was more or less in the middle. Then push the shutter button!

The Samsung S 23 is the best choice if you look at all the results and the Samsung S 23 has also dropped considerably in price.

I owned a pixel 7a since it launched in May got it in the Coral color unlocked straight from Google for 8 weeks gave me nothing but heating and very very bad reception/signal issues and I'm using Verizon as my phone service. I went back to using the Motorola One 5G Ace UW on Verizon which got 4-5 bars of signal instead of 0-2 of signal on the Pixel 7a

I paid 300 dollars for an A54 with 8 gigs of RAM and 128 of Storage. The microSD card slot means I can have an extensive media collection with me and use no data to watch movies or listen to music.
sure it's not the fastest but it's fast enough.

I think s21FE5G is still better device overall as compared to A54 in my opinion and now that s21 Fe 5g cost cheaper to A54, its sweeten the deal more.

During the AT&T Samsung device trade in offers I may have gotten the S22, Flip 4, and S23 Ultra. Sad thing is I still use my Note 10+, LG Wing, S20 Ultra (16GB ram model), and Note 20 Ultra all because they have expandable storage.
