I cannot remember a series, other than M.A.S.H. when I was so committed to a show. Jon BokenKamp, your writing is nothing short of superb! No one, not one actor could have played such a beautiful and intricate character other than James Spader. How poetic that Dembe gave his final eulogy and Harold was there at Dembe's side. I was there for the first show and I was there for the final show. Thank you for giving the world the series of a lifetime!

Very profound words Mr. Zuma; you were loyal to the end. In the words of Raymond, "Dembe guards my life because he is determinded to save my soul." What a great friend you were to him.

"The things we create, the things we find; the left we take when everything in our life is leading us right. How we live"
That is one of the most beautiful lines I've ever heard, I can already tell it will stick with me for the rest of my life.

Raymond Reddington is like a role model to me. Even though he's fictional but he's to me. ❤

“In peace, may you leave this shore.
In love, may you find the next.
Safe passage on your travels, until our final journey to the ground.
May we meet again.”

This scene really was so emotional, it had me peeling onions. such a profound and deep monologue. At 1:33 - 1:55 it portrays the peace of mind Red has been longing. It was so fulfilling to watch. Raymond is the best and my favorite and shout to Harold and Dembe!

Denbe's lines hit me so well.
I've transcribed it on paper so i would never forget its message.

I hate how they didn’t show what happens after he died. It ended so sudden. I wanted to see what happens after with Agnes, the task force, how everyone would react. Gosh I wish it didn’t have to end

How this clip ends is EXACTLY how the show should have ended. Fade to black…

No guns. No backup. No strategic plans. He went out to nature. Like Submission or Nirvana

Dembe said: “For Raymond it was about the rage”.
I think he meant … “For Raymond it was about Joy. To embrace the Now. Because for Ray he knew that the point of power and ultimate joy is always in seizing the present moment”.

That would of been a much better monologue. But of course, we are free to interpret anything that embodies and embraces our own vision.

Everyone talks about the ending was so sad.
When was the death of a man with honor and dignity has ever been exciting or less sad.
I say the ending was exceptionally perfect. It made us cringe with sadness.

The favorite scene of my entire life!!!!

Cooper:

It's hard to believe this is how it ends
I mean, i always knew that one day the task force will end.
My career will end one day
All of this

Dembe:
After i was shot lying there in the street.
I thought i was dying
And then at the moment,
I was ok with that being the end.
With all the things going through my mind
I also thought of Raymond more than anyone I've ever known in my life
He has always been at peace with death. He says death is inevitable
It will come for us all
And that inevitability robs death entirely of its significance.
What matters, are the things that are not inevitable.
The things we create.
The things we find.
The left we take when everything in our life is leading us right
How we live
I always loved him for that
For his remarkable refusal to go quietly into the good night

Cooper
Rage, rage against the dying of the light

Yes, imagine
Raymond a man surrounded by death in so many ways, so passionately committed to embracing life.
He could have surrounded a thousand times over and met some end but instead, he chooses to rage.
The rage against the dying of the light
The rage against the bad guys that would do us all harm
The rage to protect the people he loves
To find moments of peace and joy, and fun
Even thou he knows the light is still dying.
To live a most passionate life, knowing it will still lead to the inevitable end
Is perhaps the most deeply moving choice one can make.
It is the lesson at the very core of my time with him
You never imagine this is how it would end
But our time with him
Our time together was never about how it ended
It was about the advantage, about life, about Raymond constantly reminding us, showing us, imploring us.
To rage, to rage
