The "silent majority" claim really gets undermined when you put up your own app, nobody can shut you down or tell you what to say, it's the same interface everybody already knows, and you still don't get users. There's no more ability to claim your side is being suspended or shadow banned or any of that, because your side controls the whole platform. There's just no activity and a tiny amount of users, because you're not a majority.
