Day trip to Campochiaro

We can see Campochiaro from our roof terrace. So we decided to take a drive with Max and check it out. Everyone says that is where Ben's grandfather was born. The weather has been a little rainy but there was a break today for a short time.

Thanks for the video. Always wondered what the town my grandparents came from looked like. They came to the USA in the late 1800's. A cousin of mine visited there back in the 1950's. He told us that he was shocked when he visited the cemetery and only saw 3 names on the gravestones. Our last name and two others.

My mom is from Campochiaro, now living in Canada. She has brought me there over a dozen times throughout my life.... so many memories! I haven't been there in 7 years and this year, I'm taking my children. Can't wait!

Thank you for making this video! My great grandparents came from here, they were part of the Italian diaspora to the United States around WW1. Did you meet any people when you went? It looks deserted. Only about 600 inhabitants today! I am trying to imagine what life was like there when they were preparing to leave everything behind and get on a ship to New York City in 1918.
