The thing I'd be worried about isn't the actual kissing, but catching any diseases that might be going around, particularly in this age of promiscuity. Is it common to ask for a doctor's/lab report proving that the person you're kissing doesn't have anything? Even if it's for a small community play?

As a theater actor, the (limited) amount of kisses I did on stage were faked, but it got a little more complicated when I played Ernst in spring awakening lol… luckily the most he does is kissing, which is more than I can say for several other characters in that show. I was good friends with my scene partner beforehand so it wasn’t too uncomfortable haha :)

My thing is that I wanna be an actor and I plan to marry the girl I’m with one day, but when it would come to a film that would have a kissing scene, I would rather have my girlfriend’s opinion on that part of the script and tell her I wouldn’t do it if it would make her uncomfortable before I would make a call to accept or decline the role.

Simple, audition for roles that don't require kissing nor anything intimate. Plenty of movies and shows are like that where there was nothing sexual nor intimate for any scene nor behind the scenes production too which also happen to be successful.

Losing a role in a good movie for a kissing scene to actors is a huge loss especially who doesn’t belong to an acting family background. Can’t they use green screen or use their editing skills here. In the final result the director is satisfied and the actors comfort is respected and the opportunity is not lost .
