I remember hitch hiking to Selcuk, near Ephesus in 1987 and finding "The Australian Carpet" Shop as I was an Aussie that had lived away from Melbourne for over 2 1/2 years... it was weird seeing 3UZ and Collingwood Football Club stickers in Turkiye .... when I went to Ephesus, I rode a donkey!!

My wife and I are God willing going to Ephesus in September so this is very interesting and helpful. I have a coin in my collection from Ephesus, it can be seen on my website Testimoney It was struck/minted in AD49-50 just before the Apostle Paul arrived in the city and it features the image of the goddess Diana /Artemis on it. I have been to Pompeii but this looks just as incredible.
