2K is smart, the way they designed cap breakers almost guaranteed people's initial builds will ALL get outdated in a few months. Making ud make more builds as we unlock more cap breakers

At average most people will unlock at least 8 and plateau at 12. Even with the template build you could go even further and put the ball handle to 93 or lower and save even more and add more to finishing.

Off of the trailer and the 99 overall build, small builds have gotten a bigger buff than ever before in terms of attributes. The shown 99 build had a 93 dunk 93 layup 87 three 93 ball handle 90 speed with ball 85 pass and all of that right there isn’t even possible on 24. Small builds will be insane.

I’ll probably only be able to get 2 or 3 cap breakers. Due to the atrocious grinding. 2k wants us to do. I just wanna hoop and be nice.

Give the grinders cap breakers, but give the casuals something to compete with them, given that I only rec-proam

It basically seems like you want to keep Cap Breakers in mind when making your build and if you plan to use them, make you main thing you want to put them on at like a 94 and use the plus 5 to crank it to 99, im thinking of some disgusting builds already. Also to keep in mind Hard Caps for your build to really min/max your build.

I hope they actually offer good dribble animations and jumpshots for bigs.. makes no sense that KD sigs are capped to 6'9 and under..if we hv access to them big W

Im already thinking of a 6"8 with 91 dunk, 90 steal and 90 strength, plus 5 all to get elite contacts, hof interceptor and hof imovable, but once again they will change the requirements for the badges but you get the jist

If you have a driving dunk that hard caps at 88 but you upgrade it in the builder to 83 you can use 5 attribute points to upgrade to 88 once attained. The attributes won’t go past what the hard cap is

Cap breakers just add +5 stats to all your attributes so example, if you have 80 steal then add the cap breakers you’ll have an 85 steal after

Currently creating my first build... main question that comes to my mind... When you receive the first 5 cap breakers... Are they definitely 5 single cap breakers that i could theoretically add to 5 different attributes (each plus one), or do those 5 all have to go to one Attribute? 🤔

For example... In my current Center build i have a 96 Off. Rebound and a 93 Standing Dunk ... So my plan would be to add +3 on the Off Rebound for Legend Rebound Chaser and +2 on standing dunk for HOF Rise Up... Will it work like this? 🤔

Idk how I feel about cap breakers, it’s gonna allow people to create demigods if you sweat every season and it’s basically just encouraging people to spend more money to remake a build once they get them

These the type of things that make the best 2ks grind wise, it felt good to hit legend on 2k20 to get the plus 10 badges in every category and the grand badge in 2k17. I been getting to the point of why am I grinding 2k because the top rewards were doodoo

I like how the cap breaker might be a good crutch for if you mess up your build by like 1 or 2 points you can fix it without having to start all over and spend $$$.

I’m just hoping they don’t lock all of em behind a rep grind. It’s cool if they wanna lock half or even 10 behind like starter 2-3 but have at least 5 unlocked rather quickly. A lot of us while still playing alot don’t play enough to get ss3 or even superstar in general.
