need to learn civil 3d? best introductory video I have seen on youtube hands down. video discusses most of the basic concepts that you need to get familiar with to get going.

It seems like many people enjoyed this video and have benefited from it. I indeed have benefited from it, but I think these types of videos still miss the mark a bit. The instructor starts off saying that his video is geared to those who "know nothing"....yet, he uses many AutoCAD and civil engineering terms that may not be well known (or known at all) to people new to design. He also uses commands and clicks within the interface much too quickly for people to see....The instructor should always be aware that he's teaching to people completely new to the software.

I recall watching this as a overview video to training course I paid for a while back that has since been discontinued. There was a portion that covered some direct edits into a profile style in the Text Component Editor that was able to be used instead of an expression. Do you happen to have that video or any resources pertaining to that?

I currently have an issue with some PipeNetwork Connected Pipes which do not allow for expressions to be written for and I wanted to export this as a work around.

Hi. I have a file with points. I insert it and create a surface. But there's one problem which appears each time, with every surface: when I simply want to make a section through the whole surface with a straight alignment, the profile-view always shows  an exaggerated profile-line, that seems to have double the vertical value as it really has. I can't find the solution to this problem,  though I'm practising the same workflow as it is shown here.
