Holgate Toys had a special relationship with Mr. Rogers Neighborhood as the creator of the wooden trolley that was a replica of the trolley seen on TV. Mr. Rogers himself visited Kane a few times throughout the years to visit with fans, but in 1998, he sent his crew to shoot scenes at the Holgate factory on Wetmore Avenue.

I appreciate that these videos are always called "How People Make" whatever it is, and that there's such a focus on the workers and how important their jobs are. Such a model of respect for others!

And I bet all those jobs have been outsourced to overseas countries since this was made in 1989. Kind of a boring job, but probably a good place to start or at least earn a paycheck making something meaningful for kids.
