Making an Annoying Discord Feature even Worse

Voice Activity Statuses (also known as Hang Statuses) are another one of Discord's features that we didn't ask for. And this time, there's a reason to be annoyed with it.

Want to watch a friend's Discord stream? You can't with Discord's new feature. Want to not use this Discord feature? Too bad. Question 3 ODST? Answer. Anyways there's a handful of issues with voice activity statuses and I know how to fix it. But I also know how to make things worse for all the other users on Discord.

Between the time I made this video and when it came out, Discord made something even worse... Video will be out next Friday.

Also if you want to get crispy icons from Discord. Inspect element that thang, right click whatever svg icon, edit as HTML, paste into notepad, save as an svg file. You should have a nice vector icon that you can resize to whatever you want. However you may need to change the color of it (color overlay or edit the svg directly)

Okay I'm gonna release a bit chaos here. If you don't have any activity set up if someone right click your profile they will not see the tab activity at all. So if you see someone with empty activity tab it means that they have some activity in room you don't have access to.

for those who don't want to go around the status thing to watch someone's stream, you can just double click on them while they're streaming

a note on the status: i had a friend who was in a PRIVATE VC/one that NO ONE other than the OWNER can use and their...very private....status showed up on his profile, be cautious when using this in a private VC or any for that matter

Another problem with the hang status is that if you're in a private channel it still shows the status and clicking the Join Voice Channel button exposes the channel and its text chat. Allowing anyone to read the chat of a private channel if someone was using a hang status in it.

I once set my status for the first time as sex (solo) as a joke with my friends and when I saw it in different servers I got a massive jumpscare to remove it asap because I was gonna get banned from a lot of servers LOL
