Here's a tip from a retired GM Master Tech, ALWAYS fully remove the fill plug on a T-case to see if it's over full before removing the drain plug.

By doing this you will find/identify bad front T-case seals that are allowing trans fluid to commute to the T-case.

Putting grease in the square drive is pure genius .35 years as a mechanic and I've never thought of that.

I'd much rather hear repeated, "not a sponsor" than sit through a ton of ads from sponsors. Great job as always and that grease blob in the plug is a stroke of genius!

This channel has saved me so much money over the years it's amazing, and now it does it again. Not having to add engine oil until it comes out of the A/C vents is going to save me a boat load....

Up until 2008, I worked at American Axle in Detroit. We built both frt & rr axles for those truck. I worked the assembly line for the front axle. I remember after oil was automatically injected, the operator at the next station had to insert a white pipe cleaner, verifying the presence of oil, then install the drain plug. Good times!

Another informative and entertaining video. Only thing missing was the brake cleaner intro.

No Brake Clean sound effects! It’s one of your trademarks! Nice job as usual.

That little tip about putting a dab of grease in the filler plug, that was gold.

Love that torque wrench. I have about 40 of those same ones in my box. They always seem to give you the perfect torque spec!!

Eric is so good, seriously. We all wish we had someone like him in our area.

Something special about using Dad's wrenches. Should be a country song.

I always use an Allen wrench to check diff fluid levels. Zip tie is a good idea as well. Thanks for the content!

After sniffing the gasket adhesive, I can't think, man 😁

I have an '08 Yukon Denali and always changed fluids regularly from the beginning. 252K and still running strong. Trans rebuilt at 210K but not bad for Los Angeles stop and go driving. Great vehicles.

I tried the paper gasket route exactly one time. I was a young man who hadn't yet heard of spray-tack, but it didn't go so well. Permatex Gray (gear oil) ever since.
