In my experience many people take casual talks/ jokes very very seriously that leads to envy jealousy which happens and destroys everything good in future. One should stop and think 🤔. People should learn to ignore more often things that they consider negative which should never result in envy. That's the way of life of successful people and one of the mantra for success.

he's wrong. the difference is freedom. ppl are happier being poor and free, than they are being a wealthy slave. but the goal is always to be wealthy and free. something he enjoys but is condemning others for wanting, saying it's envy. it's not envy.

There's no great wealth. There's great wealth among a very few and the rest of us are poor. A lot of people can't even afford to have a family. Having an air conditioner doesn't make up for that.

Envy, greed, etc..., which are all under Fear and Survival. It is primal. Munger wasn't a saint either to get to the level of power and influence he held, so wherever he was is not for me to say, but he was no saint or nice guy. He kind of reminds me of the character in "It's a Wonderful Life, " Mr. Potter. I do not admire very rich and powerful people, that's one of the reasons this country is the way it is.
