In the night, I saw a star change colors. I thought it was a rainbow star. Or aliens parting on it. Pa told me it was a color-changing UFO.

I had the weirdest thing happen with ball lightening in 1994. My husband, daughter and I were sitting upstairs during a storm when all of a sudden this huge blue/white ball appeared. It hovered there for a few minutes then started floating downstairs to our basement, we followed it just watching and trying to figure out what it was. It floated around the downstairs for a few seconds then just floated through the back door screen and was gone. Coolest thing I have ever seen in my life and none of us have ever forgotten it. Just wish we'd had a camera.
PS: Didn't realize it was ball lightening until later also it did not do any damage to anything, did not crackle or spit out electricity it was the size of a soccer ball and just floated about 5' off the ground doing its own thing.

The saying is actually "Red sky at morning SAILOR take warning, red sky at night SAILOR'S delight." Which makes a hell of a lot more sense than a shepherd because these sky colors refer to potential oncoming storms.
