Mario Party 5 Minigame Review-Tug-o-Dorrie

Welcome back for our 69th Mario Party 5 minigame review! Up today is the battle minigame Tug-o-Dorrie! You know, Dorrie has been featured in more Mario Party games than Mario games at this point. They must really love them some Dorrie!

As always, Justin will be playing as Mario and Sarah will be playing as Yoshi. You decide which one of us is the better player.

*HOW THIS MINIGAME COULD BE IMPROVED:*
- Just like with Balloon Burst and Sky Pilots & one of my many improvements for "Dudmarathon", holding and releasing A to a rhythm could net some more powerful tugs out of your character to help send your opponents off the edge!
- Maybe you could use the control stick to move around a bit of your platform, so it's not all about strength and a light is shone on making tricky manoeuvres that your opponent will have to counter. This can especially help it get intense when there's only two players left!
By the way, that Justin VS Sarah 1v1 near the end was pretty intense, and I liked how we got to see a bit more of the "on the edge" animation from Mario!

I like the star-shaped pool at the bottom. Much better than a piranha plant.

This Minigame Is Basically A Mix-Up of Tug O' War (MP1), Dorrie Dip (MP2) and Domination (MP4)

It takes the visuals of Tug O' War and Dorrie Dip, and the Controls are like Domination.

So many button mashers I have fun in this and I normally get second also I want to do this in real life looks like fun

While I didn't have any neck pain I did have a painful experience one time in a button mashing minigame.

I actually use to like button mashing minigames (I know psychotic right?)until I played this one minigame and I couldn't go on to the next one until I beat it. I used three of my fingers (BIG MISTAKE) it was hurting very bad to the point I couldn't use the fingers for a couple of days because it hurt so much. I think I got lucky though and beat him but I have PTSD from that overall traumatic experience

Bruh you ever mash so hard you unknowingly aren’t mashing, just lightly tapping the button, this happens to me all the time 😑
