1 Peter 2:4-6 Coming to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious. You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Yeshua the Messiah. Because it is contained in Scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen, and precious: He who believes in him will not be disappointed.

Yeah, He is The Córner Stone, and we, The Church are followers of that perfect example, Christ Himself. For we are chiseled out of The Rock, Jesús Christ, and we are now of His own substance, not because we are like Him, but because we chose to accept The New Covenant that was offered on the cross, and therefore we imitate The Excellence in Christ's teachings, full of truth and wisdom.
