Thank you for putting this video out there, Been trying to build power hammer for many years, sourcing parts and pieces, but hadn't seen the proper build of this type until now, of course ours will be majorly over sized, using a 3 inch (76.2mm) hammer shaft with a 5 inch (127mm) anvil shaft, again thanks for the inspiration and information!!!

One suggestion is use linear bearings not pillow blocks does the job all the same but linear bearing will last much much longer

Im puzzled as to why you would set it so low to the ground? Nice concept, seems to work well if your going to squat the whole time your using it. I would have also opted for a larger hammer that motor looked like it could handle 30 or 40 pounds of rotation force.
