Definitely the passion that you have for cars make you the best car reviewer. Thanks for sharing Paul.

Everyone has an opinion but as an American Land Rover I think it’s brilliant for what it is - and glad we have a diverse offering here and choice of a six instead of 2 litre turbos that demand 95 octane and are less economical- I’d buy this well before a Merc GLS or BMW X7

A long anticipated review. I had watched a bunch of american reviews on this car and they were all full of praise and wonder, much like the Brits praise LR's. I was counting on Paul for an objective, comprehensive appraisal on this car. Thanks!

I know why carmakers continue to use piano black despite its well documented shortcomings - because it looks great when it’s brand new in the showroom. What happens when the buyer gets it home is not their problem.

Great review. Lots of pros and cons for this car, but I think the price would be the biggest hurdle for buyers. Not to mention it'll depreciate like a piano falling off a cliff the moment production of new cars goes back to normal.

The most honest review I’ve seen of this. I would genuinely like this car if it was made by a different brand and 15% lover in price. Can’t imagine spending this kind of money on a Jeep in Australia.

Best car reviewer!! Thanks for such honest an thorough feedback! We were tossing up between one of these and the new 2023 palisade, but palisade has won us over for a number of reasons. The biggest deterrent for us buying the Jeep was the much higher price to get the summit reserve vs palisade highlander and the warranty being capped at 100k. The other things you have pointed out in this review I had completely overlooked! Such a shame, cause this is so close to being the perfect all rounder car for larger families, but just misses the mark.

I like that he keeps telling us he is not going to lie. Probably a good thing for a reviewer.

Hey Paul. This is very helpful! I just picked up a grand Cherokee L since it just released I’m Australia!

It is amazing how they can make a LHD feel like an actual luxury suv, I drove one in the US and it was great, all the body panels lined up perfectly, there was nothing squeaky or cheap in the interior, really up to MB and Bmw levels. Then I came back to Aus last month and took one for a test drive, and I was shocked in the quality difference between them, don't know why Jeep doesn't care enough about RHD markets to give us the same quality. It is really a shame because I was pretty much sold on it...

Prices are just insane especially for something like this SUV, and the lack of quality is unfortunately representative of this mark, one would think they would have improved quality due to the price yet not, not disappointed as it’s never been a quality product. Great review Paul.

Great review, Paul. Thank you. I had a deposit down for the L before they released the specs. Cancelled it as soon as the first recalls started been announced in the US. Looking at the quality control of the AU fleet, you just cannot justify the price tag. So glad I canceled the order.

Another honest and genuinely informative review from you Paul. Looks like Jeep is targeting “school mums” with this model, rather than the towing community.

This vehicle is amazing, really next level refinement, capability on and off road...

If this car was $65-70k, I might consider it. But $115k? What drugs were Jeep on when pricing it? If it weren’t for the supply issues affecting new cars, they would be already discounting these.

Having watched many reviews of this Jeep, I've been dying to hear your opinion, Paul. Great review. You've convinced me to wait til the new engine and build quality is addressed. Failing that... My 5th Jeep will not be a Jeep!

Thanks for the review. I had high hopes for this but after watching your review it's dead to me :) plus 115K- 120K price tag?! to buy a JEEP?!!! people must be crazy to even shortlist this for that kind of price

During long motorway drives, I rest my elbow on the dashboard. It’s just so comfortable.

Thank you for testing the softness there :)
