UWA hands over Wagagai trail to private operators

The Uganda Wildlife Authority has handed over the Budadiri trail in Wagagai to Mt. Elgon trekking services to manage it for the next 20 years. The move is expected to improve the facilities and routes in the National Park and also increase the number of tourists in the park which has reduced from 4,000 to below 1500 since COVID-19 broke out in the country in 2023. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
