I don’t know how but you’ve managed to package an unbiased analysis that is more entertaining than the sensationalized segment of economic and financial news. Thank you for your efforts to be the signal and not the noise. I understand that the economy is currently in a downturn and that we must wait for things to get better

I comment frequently and am also from NC. North Carolina is one of the states to where everyone is moving, companies and people. If you drive around, new buildings and new neighborhoods. However, when you talk to regular people, middle class and even a little lower, things are tough. They know the economy sucks from home or rental prices, food cost, etc. Wells Fargo got out of home equity lending. Banks that do residential construction lending are not looking for new customers and are only serving existing customers. I've even seen new neighborhoods being bought out and advertised as new homes for rent. More and more of the houses in our neighborhood are becoming rental properties. The rich keep getting richer and every one else is on the slippery slope downward.

Im a trucker and can say it’s highly possible drivers were robbed while sleeping without knowing. They have sleeper berths with A.C going and the reefer trailer running muffling out any noise thieves would make.

Personally, I hate zoos; it is horrible how the animals are treated. Locked away forever in tiny cages, the psychological damage to the animals must be off the charts! There are so many wonderful photographers and cinematographers who go to film the animal in its natural habitat; I would rather watch that any day!

Maybe if they didn't charge ridiculous admission more people would attend. I was in San Diego with my family and zoo admission was 100 per person, outrageous. 😮

The precious metals market is being manipulated. Why? They want ppl to sell, and in return get Fiat currency which soon enough will be worthless. Don't sell!

Brookfield Zoo near Chicago used to be a fantastic zoo in the 1960s. The 7 Seas Panorama had killer Whales, Dolphins, and seals jumping and swimming for the crowd. The first zoo that didnt have bars, but a moat to separate the animals from the people. A little steam train ran through the park and kids loved it.
Now the Roman themed buildings are in disrepair. Some closed. The little steam train gone. The whole place looks run down and lacking maintenance for decades. Such a shame.

Ok Dan.... just a minute here buddy! Love the heck out of ya, brother BUT... a truck driver getting robbed while sleeping happens ALL THE TIME. The good news is he wasn't killed. Especially in the bigger cities back East. A shipper/receiver hasn't got room for a tired driver to park overnight but expects the shipment ON TIME at some ungodly hour (3am maybe?!) So, in order to avoid traffic etc, a truck driver parks on a nearby public street in order to be at hand when it's time to load/unload and gets robbed? Those thieves know their marks and to hit multiple trucks over time is very common. VERY common, unfortunately. What's frustrating is when said receiver HAS the room for safe parking, but denies it just because he can, or it's "policy". I'm not saying you are totally wrong or that what you are suggesting never happens. It does. But the scenario I just laid out is far more common. FYI from a guy who just retired after 45+ yrs of trucking.

@9:00 When I lived in South America, many of the residences in our area of the city had ARMED GUARDS that stood outside the gates. I think we will be seeing that scenario in the US.

I'm from NC and it's a struggle to live here with the astronomical rent prices, cost of housing & inflation on everything that's for sale...and property taxes keep going up...illegals are everywhere ..and not the nice ones ...they are taking the jobs from citizens. .their finished work on a project is the same quality compared to. Products made in China...
Dan, did the Lady ever get her house sold?

Fun fact. During the Zimbabwe hyperinflation, the maximum banknote denomination printed was 100 Trillion Dollars. During the hyperinflation in Germany in the early nineteen twenties, the highest denomination Reichsbank note printed was 100 Trillion Marks. Will the USA end up with a 100 Trillion Dollar note?

I love zoos. Zoos are saving animals and educating people. Poaching is such a problem that in future the zoos may be the only place see certain species.

Hey Dan, having driven a truck for the best trucking company on the road (Werner Enterprises), I can tell you from firsthand experience that when you go into the sleeper to sleep, you can't hear a thing, but the "rocking of the truck" if someone jumps up into the trailer from the D.O.T. bar or uses a "skip jack/forklift" to get the goods out can wake a person up, provided they don't sleep like the dead like I do. I can make an argument both ways for this theft.
