A short film documenting our summer 2021, independent, 3-day trekking trip to the top of Mount Aragats: the highest mountain in Armenia. We started from the village of Aragats on the east side of the mountain and, passing by the north peak, we finished at Lake Kari, south of the summit. It was a great trip overall, one of the highlights of our travels throughout Armenia.

Locals scare bears and wolves on Aragats. Although there really was a sad case in 2019.
We were also not very lucky with the weather, when we were there, there was a cloud right behind the pass and we didn't see anything from the top, visibility was 10-20 meters. It was august too.

Nice. I am going to take a taxi all the way to the base of the mountain.

Lovely video! I was wondering if you could tell me if you used a GPS or map (if so which one?) to get to the summit. I'm planning a trip to the true summit this coming July and I wanted to make sure my navigation will be accurate.
Thank you in advance!
