today we are going to be deep diving into and investigating the most disturbing, intruiging, and bizarre obscure lost media r/tipofmytongue posts you should know about. these come from a subreddit on reddit dedicated to lost media, the type of content blameitonjorge covers. these are internet mysteries and reddit stories. despite all things lost it is still important to keep the community fresh with obscure content. here we cover an iceberg rabbit hole of a lost children’s show from a cult called the children of god or the family international treasure attic. aka the cult river phoenix was sadly a part of. but some of the shows have pink morning cartoon vibes. we also have another mysterious song on the internet from the blue chin vaporwave era, and i mention the mandela effect. there is also a disturbing youtube channel featured that no one can find. nobody can solve these mysteries. watch my deep dive to investigate each one!

"The song is probably from 1926 to 3351, but it's definitely a neo pop punk doom metal band in the style of 60's or 90's country funk soul or an 80's Japanese thrash metal band covering a Yugoslavian folk song in the style of a Mongolian throat singing group using only synth kazoos."
Thanks.

I love how reddit almost always jumps to “gas leak” whenever someone experiences something weird lmao

8:20 I've heard music like this before at very small outdoor festivals. You could barely call them festivals. In Maine they'd be something local where a few dozen people get together to drink Moxie and have BBQ and burgers. This is the kind of music dads play in their old bands that never got signed, songs they wrote in the 60s and 70s and this is like a recording made of them in the 90s or early 00s. Still playing their old stuff, holding on to memories and feelings from their youth. It really sounds like this to me.

It's very unlikely this will ever be identified, but I'm glad a snippet of it exists. It sounds a lot like the late hippie singer-songwriter music of the 70s. Think James Taylor. But somebody still playing it two or three decades later. Real hauntological stuff.

I wonder if the person who remembered Cube being in a desert ever played '9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors'. It's a visual novel about an escape room-type game where the whole time the characters think they're on a ship, then when you reach the 'True Ending' it's revealed they were in a building in a desert (though the building's not a cube)

Your channel is so good and it's criminally underviewed. I've watched a lot of internet lore and lost media channels and your stuff is just as good in quality as the larger channels and you always cover topics I've never seen or have videos on things I'm not familiar with. I like how chill it is and you have a good speaking tone that gets better with each upload. Keep it up! I can't wait until you get big!

I think I should mention, just as an interesting fact, that Jeremy Spencer, one of the founding members of Fleetwood Mac, left the band to join the Children of God in 1971.
He apparently just told his band mates that he was going to get a magazine, and promptly disappeared for a few days.

I love that Reddit's go-to explanation for something when they don't immediately have an answer is 'lawl carbon monoxide poisoning'

Regarding Cube's alternate ending, it's a bit hard to mistake that as only a desert. The angle and shits make it very clear there are crashing waves against the rocks and seagull noises. I still remember those seagulls. I can't see how anybody would mistake that for a desert, even after decades.

The fact we literally have a sample of the song but can't find the rest of it is mind blowing to me.

I am SO happy to see you mention the creepy Twitch ads. It sounds so unsettling, yet you don't see anyone talking about it, anywhere.

the first thing that came to my mind with the ending to cube was “the cube personality test”. you’re told to imagine a cube in a desert and several other things and then you analyze your answers after. i wonder if they mushed those two things together in their brain?

The lost song sounds exactly like 1980s indie twee pop, almost like something that could’ve been on C86. Shame it hasn’t been discovered yet!

I just want to say your videos are like baby sensory videos to me. I could watch them for hours. The editing, the music, the background clips, all of it scratches my brain so well and the topics you cover are always so interesting aaaa

I had the Treasure Attic tape with the sheep puppet! I got it from a church yard sale when I was younger, though weirdly the church (Presbyterian) wasn’t associated with the cult, and it was in a bin with lots of mainstream religious kids tapes, most notably Baby Faith which I still have.

I feel like their could have definitely been an alternative ending to The Cube during the initial release. It’s been common for filmmakers to change certain things to their films after it was already released. For example, The Shining (1980) had an alternate ending when it was first released, there was an extra scene at the end of the movie involving Wendy and Danny but Kubrick didn’t like it so he cut it from the film and it probably made for a better ending.

i love the idea of a claymation having a lot of worm characters. the easiest beasts to render from clay.
